The Eco Edit

Sustainability, minus the boardroom lecture.

Fresh ideas, useful explainers and the occasional myth-buster — making sustainability, materials and better business a little easier to understand.

Sustainability doesn't need another boardroom lecture.

The Eco Edit is where we unpack the jargon, question the buzzwords and explore the ideas shaping better products and better business.

From ESG and certifications to materials, trends and the occasional sustainability myth that needs busting, we'll keep it practical, straightforward and — wherever possible — interesting.

Think less corporate report. More useful conversation.

CO₂eOne number. Different gases.

Wait... what does that mean?

Carbon dioxide equivalent

A way of comparing the climate impact of different greenhouse gases by expressing them as an equivalent amount of carbon dioxide (CO₂).

Okay, that wasn't so painful.

Quick myth buster

Myth

"Recycled means recyclable."

Reality

Not necessarily. A product can contain recycled material without being recyclable at the end of its life. Material combinations, coatings, components and local recycling systems can all affect whether it can actually be recycled.

Pick a rabbit hole

ESG, materials, myths, better merch and everything in between. Pick a topic and see where it takes you.

More good stuff is coming.

We're just getting started. New stories, explainers, material deep-dives and sustainability rabbit holes are on the way.

In the meantime, there's plenty to explore across the Ecosource resource library.
